Galaxy S8 will be presented only at the end of March but it already makes much talk about him. While the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had allowed Samsung to increase its profits in the first half of the year, the battery problems of the Galaxy Note 7 will have cost him dearly and will not fail to tarnish its image. Samsung Galaxy S8: curved screen and borderless
In the same way that it did with its Galaxy Note 7, Samsung should decline the Galaxy S8 only in curved version. Last August, the Galaxy S7 Edge presented itself as the best-selling smartphone in the world in 2016, proof that Samsung has succeeded in imposing this new form factor that is beginning to enter the competition. Note, however, that the curvature of the screen would have been reduced, as was already the case in Note 7, so as to avoid involuntary actions.
The Korean would still offer two versions of its flagship smartphone, a 5.8-inch and the other 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus, the term "Edge" no longer needed to differentiate between two. As for the display panel, it would offer a ratio of 18.5: 9 where most smartphones on the market offer 16.9 screens.
The Galaxy S8 will say goodbye to the traditional Home button physical that would be replaced by a new fingerprint reader placed on the back. The smartphone would therefore be borderless like the Xiaomi Mi Mix and would retain reasonable dimensions despite the presence of an XXL screen.
Two diagrams supplied by an accessory prove these two screen sizes and announce dimensions that remain very close to those of the S7 / S7 Edge. Note that the design of the Galaxy S8 would always be waterproof, the smartphone would thus be certified IP68.
For its part, the vice president of Samsung himself confirmed that the new model would propose a more "smooth" design. Since then, a new report has confirmed for the umpteenth time that the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus would have curved screens.
Note that analysts remain very divided about the curved screens. According to them, the demand for dual-edge screens is not sufficient enough and Samsung would make a big mistake by not offering a "flat screen" version. Would Samsung have listened to them? A new leak on Chinese social networks allows us to appreciate the borderless design of the new Galaxy S8. However, this is to be taken with tweezers since its interface does not present navigation buttons, yet essential in this configuration. Meanwhile, Samsung confirmed that its next AMOLED screens would be borderless in an official video and a second stolen photo appeared.

Although it was strongly envisaged initially, Samsung would have abandoned the 4K screen for a Quad HD screen for fear of the impacts of such a high resolution on the phone battery. In addition, instead of using a PenTile matrix, the Galaxy S8 screen would use an RBG matrix, more suited for virtual reality.
The Y-OCTA screen technology already used on the Galaxy Note 7 could again be used to produce screens that are both finer and less expensive.
Force Touch screen and optional stylus
According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy S8 would be equipped with a pressure sensitive Touch screen. A technology already found at Apple under the name of 3D Touch and at Huawei under the name of Press Touch. With a Force Touch screen, users can zoom in on a photo at the touch of a finger, or access different shortcuts from an application icon without having to open it .
The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco could also cause Samsung to offer an optional stylus for its Galaxy S8. Samsung Galaxy S8: processor Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835
Each new generation of smartphones arrives with its cluster of power and the Galaxy S8 should be no exception to the rule since it would be equipped with an Exynos 8895 processor. It would be coupled with the latest ARM Mali-G71 GPU optimized for the 4K and virtual reality which offers 1.8 times of power than the Mali-T880 MP12 GPU Galaxy S7 and supports the Vulkan API and standards OpenGL ES 3.2, GPU Compute and Android RenderScript.
An idea of ​​his brute power? It's very simple: appeared on AnTuTu, it explodes all records with a score of 203,737 well beyond the current champions. Just like this year, the Exynos 8895 should be offered alternately with the next Qualcomm processor, the famous Snapdragon 835, depending on the market.
Samsung confirmed the presence of the Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835 processors in its January security patch. There would also be 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with a micro SD slot to add an extra 256 GB. A recent leak specifies however that a version offering 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage would also be planned in the program but this one would remain reserved for the Asian markets.
Finally, as in the Galaxy S7, one should find a system of cooling by heat pipe. This technology keeps the phone temperature at a low enough level for performance to remain constant when the processor is heavily loaded, avoiding overheating.
Samsung Galaxy S8: Stereo Audio Quality
The two models expected in 2017 would finally be equipped with stereo speakers. A feature that has long been missing from the firm's smartphones. Speakers equipped with technology developed by Harman that now belongs to Samsung.
A Continuum mode to turn your smartphone into a PC
A new leak now suggests that the Galaxy S8 would offer a functionality similar to the Continuum mode of Microsoft that is found under Windows 10 Mobile. It would then be possible to transform the smartphone into a mini desktop PC by connecting a screen, a keyboard and a mouse.
Samsung would have also planned a dedicated dock and several office accessories that would take the name of DeX. It remains to be seen whether this docking station will only offer the connection to connect the various peripherals or will make itself a laptop PC.
Bluetooth 5.0 ultra fast!
The S8 would be the first smartphone on the market to offer Bluetooth 5.0. This new standard twice as fast as the Bluetooth 4.1 also offers a range four times greater and a bandwidth multiplied by eight. In addition, it reduces interference with other wireless technologies like Wifi.
Samsung Galaxy S8: a 12 megapixel camera more powerful
The main camera would still be based on Dual Pixel technology but it would be more accurate, faster, more efficient in low light and would offer better overall images.

Samsung Galaxy S8: Autonomy at the top
With a 4K screen, Samsung has a vested interest in offering autonomy worthy of the name, at the risk to undergo many criticisms from its customers. Artificial intelligence
The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus should say goodbye to S Voice which would be replaced by a new vocal assistant based on Artificial Intelligence and designed by Vib Labs that Samsung recently acquired. Note that the founders of Viv Labs are the originators of Siri, the voice assistant of the iPhone. The new virtual assistant of Samsung would take the name of Bixby, as evidenced by a recent deposit of brand.

Hello USB Type C
The Galaxy S8 should say goodbye to the traditional 3.5 mm jack. By following the footsteps of Apple and its iPhone 7, Samsung should thus gain some extra space inside the phone. Of course, no more listening to music on the headphones during the charge!
To offset the future debate that this decision will surely launch, it could be that Samsung will release its own earphones in-ear coupled with the Galaxy S8. They would be offered at the price of 130 euros.

Samsung Galaxy S8: price and date of release
If Samsung follows its usual schedule, expect to see its Galaxy S8 land on the eve of MWC 2017 on February 26th.
